I am getting this and similar. I am running Windows 10 on a brand new laptop, bought not even a week ago, with Win10 already installed. Similar errors have occurred and something tells me that they will keep occurring and i would really appreciate an answer about the nature of the problem, and if you are aware of that?
Is it something general or maybe just my notebook’s issue? Has the manufacturer made something wrong to the installation of your OS? I do not know if this might be helpful or not but i also noticed that in every other of my old computers where Windows10 were installed by upgrading from 8 or 7 then no such problems occurred, at least not with that frequency.
Maybe this is happening to systems with pre-installed Win10? Is there a solution to these problems? Are you aware of it or not? Thank you in advance. Since there is no standalone package for DirectX 12, we recommend that you update it by running Windows Update as an initial troubleshooting step.

Well, i should have mentioned it earlier, i did check for updates, it was the first thing i did after i realized that there is no standalone for Dx There are no more updates available and the issues are still here. I should also mention that i am running on Version and do not have the Spring Creator’s Update yet.
Hello Mr. BossDweeb thanks for the answer, Well, i did not try those two tools because in the system requirements Win10 is not included and i didn’t want to mess something up even further. Would you advise me to try them out? I am quite desperate. I haven’t dared to try more yet. Can you tell us which build is your device running on? I also checked again the System32 folder and the file is there now, while before it wasn’t.
And in fact the only think that i even downloaded since my last response was a game called ‘Fortnite’ and nothing else. Is that even possible? Quite an unorthodox way to fix the problem.. Thanks for the advice, i did as you said, copied the file from disc into the installation folder. Unfortunately i am now getting an 0xcb error and the application still does not start. Jumping from one error to another.
